IL-33 Dual MOA Campaign
Project type
Mechanism Videos
Role
Creative Director
The Dual COPD Burden campaign is designed to educate pulmonologists on the importance of IL-33 in COPD. The team was challenged to translate complex airway immunology into a visual story that felt scientifically credible, but not overwhelming and dense.
The client’s expectation was clear: simplicity. The animation needed a refined narrative that busy physicians could quickly understand, supported by approachable mechanistic visuals that clarified the science without getting lost in the details.
Visually, the explainer used dynamic elements such as glowing cytokine signals, inflamed bronchi, immune-cell activation, and before-and-after airflow comparisons to link molecular activity with clinical realities like breathlessness, cough, mucus production, and exacerbations.
The content was built to perform beyond the website. It needed to work across a variety of video environments, including sound-off congress settings, where captions, pacing, and visual clarity had to carry the message. By combining accurate biology, purposeful simplification, and strong visual storytelling, the animation positioned IL-33 as a compelling central driver in COPD progression.
